Når livet gør ondt - SOMA - Integreret Kropsterapi

What do we do when life hits us with loss, grief or broken dreams? Many of us try to push the pain away, but experience shows that it is only when we dare to face our grief that it can be transformed.

In the minibook When life hurts we delve into the many faces of grief. Grief is not just about death - it can also be the loss of a job, a relationship, health or a life dream. We explore how the body carries grief, how trauma can manifest as anxiety, pain and insomnia, and how both body therapy and psychotherapy can open pathways to healing.

How do we get through the darkness?

The book draws on the research of Bessel van der Kolk and Peter Levine, but also on Christian mystics such as Julian of Norwich, St Francis of Assisi and Henri Nouwen, who show us how faith, silence and prayer can carry us through the darkness. At the same time, Viktor Frankl's logotherapy provides a language for the crisis of meaning that often accompanies loss.

Grief and love

When life hurts is written for those who are grieving or who want to better understand and support others. It is both narrative and reflective - an invitation to see grief as part of the fabric of life, where love and loss are connected.
